Thank you for considering how you might be able to share your time or skills with Birth Roots.
We have a very small staff so we are only as active and vibrant as the community that supports us with their time, energy, resources and skills. We have listed some volunteer opportunities here on this page and welcome your ideas for any others.
Whether a one-time project or ongoing support, we need you! If you have professional skills in marketing, branding, nonprofit organization, grant writing, computers/IT etc. please fill out the form on this page to connect with Jodi, our Operations Manager. She will tell you about what we have brewing and where you can make a difference.
Do you have a knack for setting a tone in a space? We have many possibilities for one-time or ongoing projects to keep this space welcoming, tidy and organized so the new families who visit feel relaxed and cared for. Gardening, organizing, spring and fall cleaning, handy-person projects, and making snacks for classes are some examples off ways you can support the programming at Birth Roots.
Baby Booty Resale
3 times a year, Birth Roots transforms into an indoor resale of gently used baby, kid and maternity clothing and gear. This event requires many sorters, pricers and organizers. We use the website www.volunteerspot.com for community members to register for time slots at upcoming Bootys. Delaine Brown is the event coordinator for the Baby Booty and usually opens volunteer slots about a month before each sale. Please complete the form below to be added to the list or visit the Spring 2015 Baby Booty event page on facebook for more information. Clothing and gear can be donated any time, year round
Little Monsters Ball & Little Gnomes Winter Garden
October and February are our opportunity to welcome the wee ones by offering a toddler-friendly event to delight their minds and inspire family creativity. We need volunteers to help with sponsorships, raffle, snacks, set up and clean up.
