Becoming a parent is a unique time of growth and development, as a person and as a family. Birth Roots offers a few groups where families can find some extra support, guidance and encouragement, right when they need it most.
The Pregnancy Class
It’s hard to know where to start when you find out you are expecting a baby. This class will set your mind at ease and connect you with other new families and a whole new world of community resources and support. Touch on all the topics that are important to first and second trimester families and begin to settle those “what I don’t know I don’t know” jitters. One weeknight a month from 5:30-7pm. Free. Pre-register here.
The New Parent Nest
Temporary Summer Schedule starting May 16th. Thursdays 12:30-2:00 PM. Free drop-in group with facilitation from 12:30-1:15 and open space until 2:00 PM. Open for parents and their babes aged 0-12 months. Work through challenges, define your goals and access resources in a supportive, judgment-free space. No pre-registration is needed. (Birth Roots is closed for holidays and when Portland schools are closed for inclement weather)
Schedule a Group Time for your Flock
Free, unfacilitated drop-in time designated for flocks to gather in a very baby-friendly space, enjoy each other’s company, find fresh ideas and create fellowship. Space available Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 12:00-2:00 pm, and potentially other days and times on a scheduled basis. To host your flock in the nest, please email [email protected]
