BirthRoots Services include:

• A no obligation interview where you can ask any questions you may have and decide if you would desire a doula for your birth.
  
• One prenatal visit where we discuss how you are feeling about your pregnancy, any fears/concerns about this birth, how you typically handle pain, what you would like to happen during this birth, processing how previous birth experiences affected you, what preferences you have for touch, when your doula might arrive, expectations, etc. It is also a time for you and your partner to become comfortable with your doula.
  
• Continuous on call coverage for two weeks before and two weeks after your due date. If the baby arrives before two weeks due your doula will do their best to be there.
  
• Continuous presence at the birth of your child. Together we will decide when your doula will come and where we will meet during the prenatal visits.
  
• 24 hour phone availability for questions, concerns, or just to chat.
  
• One postpartum visit where we will discuss how things went, and your doula will present you with a birth story of your experience. 
• Postpartum Doulas are available upon request.
• BirthRoots offers a variety of packages to suit your postpartum  needs.  Please inquire for more details.
• We at BirthRoots believe that every woman is entitled to a doula at their birth no matter what their race, sexual orientation or financial status.  We offer affordable payment plans as well as a sliding scale fee.

Rates and Fees

Birth Doula

$600 per birth which includes the above services described.

Postpartum Doula

Hourly rate is $25. A $50 deposit is required at the time of hiring, the balance to be due as negotiated by the doula and client. Prepaid packages include a discount when paid in advance, please inquire. Doulas may charge clients a one-time $50 travel fee at their discretion.
