BirthRoots Doulas was created by a group of New Hampshire based women who are passionate about pregnancy and birth.  Each one of us supports the birthing mother and her family, helping shape and implement their birth plan.

Allison Connor CD (ALACE)

Allison is a dedicated wife and mother to five wonderful children.  She began attending births in 2000 and has experience with waterbirth, VBAC's and Hypnobirthing to name a few.  Allison believes that women who are educated about the process of birth and who feel well supported throughout this exciting, intense and sometimes mystifying time, find they are able to face the transition to parenting with less stress, increased confidence and ultimately, more joy.  At birth a baby is born, but a mother is born as well, and both need warm, attentive care during this most creative and transformative time.  Allison holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and also provides postpartum care.

Jaime Caryl-Klika, CD (DONA)

Jaime's passion for pregnancy and birth began when she learned she was expecting her first child.  Jaime believes that birth is a rite of passage for both mother and baby......and the births of her children continue to be the most empowering experiences of her life.  Jaime's goal is to assist you in achieving a beautiful birth as you define it.  Trained through DONA, she has been involved in hospital, VBAC, home, water and cesarean births.  Jaime is also experienced with Hypnobirthing and Bradley Method as well as attachment parenting, extended breastfeeding and baby wearing.  Jaime is a member of NH Birth Network, NH Doula Supervision group, La Leche League and Holistic Moms Network. Additional services include Mothersblessings/Blessingways as well as belly casting and prenatal/birth photography. 

Kelly Collins, CLD (CAPPA)

After having her first child, Kelly believed there had to be a better way to birth.  When she was expecting her second child, she hired a doula and used Hypnobirthing to achieve the kind of birth she desired.   Kelly became a certified labor doula through Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) in 2006 and has experience with Reiki.  Her goal is to help women make informed choices, feel supported, and help them to trust in their bodies.  She considers it an honor and privilege to be present at such an intimate moment in the lives of her clients.
